The Hips scheme launched on 1st December 2008 and the seller will pay for a 3-tier home report which will include a surveyor’s analysis, an energy efficiency report and a property questionnaire.Sellers can expect to pay anything between £350 and £900 for a survey before they can put their home up for sale.For full details go to the official Government website.
Also,from 4th january 2009 all properties including those put on sale prior to 1st December 2008 must have an Energy Performance Certificate (E.P.C.)If you have purchased a home report the E.P.C will be included in this.This certificate will show how energy efficient your property is and can cost anything up to £100.Again for full details go to the offical government website below.
